The Rotary Club of Brunswick presented a $4,500 grant to the Toolbox Initiative at its Aug. 29 meeting. The Toolbox Initiative, recipient of the club’s 2022-23 District Grant,  provides gently used tools to nomadic silversmiths in western Africa. The program also includes an apprenticeship, a school program and sewing machines, all of which foster opportunities and economic stability for this vulnerable population. Tim McCreight (second from right), Toolbox Initiative director, accepted the grant from Club President Lisa Harrison (left), and Rotarians Carolyn Bulliner (second from left) and Dave Taft (right).
