We just received a note from the Good Samaritan Hospital in La Romana, Dominican Republic, thanking our club as well as the Portland Rotary Club.  Our two clubs have a long history of supporting this hospital and Haitian migrant workers through Portland Rotary’s 3H Program (hands, hearing, and H2O). Our club contributed $1000 and the Portland club $5000 for Coronavirus relief.

With this donation, Dr. Moises Sifren of the hospital reported that they were able to:
  • Provide treatment for forty patients infected with the coronavirus;
  • Purchase face masks, hand sanitizer, and hygiene products;
  • Hold four medical clinics in four different areas to educate people on how to avoid contracting and spreading the coronavirus;
  • Distribute pain medications, cough medicine, and antibiotics to children.
